About this role

Northern District Community Health is looking to employ a Nurse Practitioner with a mental health specialty for 2 clinic days per month. The role is part of an Innovative Models of Care program being conducted across the Buloke, Loddon and Gannawarra Shires involving a partnership between health services, General Practitioners and other Nurse Practitioners.

This position will be based in general practice clinics within the East Wimmera Health Services catchment area and will be supported by a dedicated Care Coordinator, as well as East Wimmera Health Service, Allied Health professionals and a network of other Nurse Practitioners working in the program.

The successful applicant will be an endorsed Nurse Practitioner with experience in Mental Health and Rural Generalism.

About you:

  • Current nursing/midwifery general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner (Mental Health) by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Experience in general practice or a primary care setting is preferred.
  • Genuine care for people and personal qualities that align to NDCH’s values.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Current Police Check, NDIS Screening Check and Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
