Paediatric physiotherapy uses different hands-on methods, exercises, and activities to help kids improve their muscle tone, strength, coordination, balance, posture, and movement. The goal is to help them move and function better.

A physiotherapist can assist children from birth to 17 years of age:

  • Develop skills including rolling, sitting, crawling, walking and running
  • Gross motor skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, jumping, hoping, skipping, climbing, bike riding, balance and coordination
  • Other concerns including head turn preferences in babies, toe walking, neurological and genetic disorders.

What is the cost?

Community health $10 per session.

NDIS – This service will be charged at the applicable rate, outlined in the fees schedule.

The Gannawarra and Northern Loddon Shire Councils.

What services are we funded for?

NDIS

Community Health – any child under the age of 17 years that does not have NDIS funding.

Referral from GP, Maternal Child Health Nurse, Other allied health professional, self referral.
